the dreaded "page not found" thing
hi everyone
I see there is a bit of a crisis with the ideapark.org pages
the pages are not being displayed, I am not sure why
I need to go check on this and make some emergency patches for affected sites
once this is resolved I will be posting some pictures from the LEAF festival
in the meantime here is an older version of the loop

art reception tomorrow in floyd

The Jacksonville Center in Floyd, VA is proud to announce the opening of the “2nd Annual Instructor’s Exhibit” which is in the Hayloft Gallery and runs through Saturday June 10th 2006. The show features a wide range of unique artwork in a variety of mediums surely guaranteed to entertain and enlighten.
The “Meet the Artists/Instructor’s Reception” will be held on Saturday May 13th 2006 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with the instructor’s of the many classes offered at VA. First Residential Craft School found at the Jacksonville Center for the Arts.
At 7:00pm the official dedication of the Residential Craft School will take place with invited guests and dignitaries in attendance.
Also taking place on this special evening is honoring the memory of the late William B. Emery.
Mr. Emery’s family donated his complete blacksmith shop to the forge at the Jacksonville Center for the Arts. William Emery was a lifelong blacksmith and member of the Old Dominion Blacksmith Association. His love for the art of blacksmithing will live on as students use his tools and learn about this treasured art.

It is six miles North of the Blue Ridge Parkway Route 8 exit at Tuggles Gap. The Jacksonville Center is a member-based, charitable nonprofit cultural arts center that houses a cultural business incubator artists-in-residence program, an art gallery, a retail shop, a large community room available for short term rentals and a variety of classes designed for both the regional community as well as the visiting public.
