The sudden loss of John 2 Ponies on February 22, 2008 has greatly saddened
his family, folks who enjoy his music, and numerous members of the Southwest
Virginia community where he made his home.

Many of John’s friends and fans are working to locate resources
for projects which have the potential to provide this well-loved artist with
an "encore" call in perpetuity in the form of a digital archive which will
continue to produce cultural assets for many generations to come.
