Spotlight on Marsh Fork
an exhibit in studio 124 at the Jacksonville Center in Floyd

During the month of September 2006, there will be an exhibit at the Jacksonville Center designed to raise awareness about Marsh Fork Elementary School, a school near Sundial, West Virginia which is located directly in the flood-path of 2 billion gallons of coal sludge.

"Spotlight on Marsh Fork" will be on display in Studio 124 at the Jacksonville Center in Floyd from September 1 to September 30, 2006. This exhibit will feature information on Ed Wiley and the "Pennies of Promise" campaign to raise funds for a new school at Marsh Fork.

If you have materials you would like to distribute or display for the "Spotlight on Marsh Fork" exhibit, please mail or bring it to Traces at the address listed below. The show will open on September 1, 2006 and will run until September 30.

Traces is seeking contributions of artwork and writing by persons of all ages for this exhibit. Pamphlets, brochures, photographs and hand-gathered coal samples are also welcome, and will be installed in the Traces space for the duration of the exhibit.

Items submitted for this exhibit will become the property of the Traces library for creative literacy, and will be distributed to the public or conserved for future Traces installations. Please do not submit items which must be returned.
