Student summit in Appalachia, VA
Student Summit!
Appalachia, VA
April 13, 2007 12:00PM to 02:00PM
Event Description:
On the weekend of April 13-15 there will be a Summit in Wise County, VA, one of the most impacted communities by surface coal mining and mountain top removal in the state. The weekend is free and open to everyone, student or not. Come see how energy policies are affecting our land, communities, economy, and people. Meet coalfield residents, see mountain top removal sites, and let your eyes decide if coal is ever "clean" energy. For more information, feel free to contact Hannah at hannah.m.morgan@gmail.com or 434-960-2080.
